ppl have no idea, ...
ppl have no idea, how much time and money goes into such project. Using a CNC-Machine shortens the process dramatically, but raises the costs by a big step. Doin this completely by hand would take you? 150+ hours. The Silikone is very expensive, the resin and Glasfiber costs a good batch too. Its easy too fail at several stages of the process. In the worst case you could loose all your work, means u gotta start from zero. So, I understand why those pieces are quite pricey. Thanx for the tutorial!

definitley strong ...
definitley strong enough for any replica, however i probably would be hard pressed to withstand the pressure and forces of a paintball gun unless it is a weak paintball gun and you make the sides thick, the compressize strength of smooth cast 320 is about 5000 psi it may seem like alot however that is nothing compaired to something like steel with a compressize strength of? about 250000 psi

can you not use a one part mould for this, like with a helmet, i can? see why use would use a two part mould but whats the advantage? :D anyone can answer :)
